Jim and David had a very interesting and productive time in Nairobi, not to mention a very emotional one. Our thanks go to the World Mission Department of The Church of Scotland Central Offices for their continued support.
They visited the Saturday morning Children’s Club, playing games and singing with the children.
They also saw the children being fed which was a very emotional experience.
Jim and David attended both the English and Swahili services at PCEA Emmanuel on the Sunday morning.
After lunch, they met with Members of the Session. This was a very productive meeting, which will form the basis of the continuing partnership between the Churches in Barrhead and PCEA Kibera.
Jim and David were also fortunate to meet Merci, who runs the HIV/Aids/OVC Programme supported by the Church of Scotland Central Office.
They also had the opportunity to visit the Technical College at PCEA Emmanuel.
On the Monday, they visited PCEA Silanga High School, where they met with the pupils, the Head Teacher, her staff, and members of the School Board, who all work tirelessly for the students.
